Tennie Norton Hunter

Funeral services for Mrs. Tennie Lorene Norton Hunter, 94, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born April 24, 1918, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Thomas H. Norton and Maidy Hestand Norton. On December 23, 1933, she was married to the late Aaron C. Hunter, who passed away November 3, 1986. She was a sales clerk, and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Charlie Cowan Norton; 4 Sisters: Mildred Barlow, Martha Swan, Gladys Meadows, and Dimple Whetstone; and 2 Grandchildren: Patricia Hunter Chaffin and Timothy Dale Hunter. Survivors include 1 Son: Bobby D. (Daisy) Hunter of Whitleyville, TN; 2 Daughters: Faye (Roy) Ragland of Brevort, MI, and Ann (Al) Wright of Cass City, MI; 8 Grandchildren: Teresa, Tony, Tammie, Tina, Penny, Janie, Cyndi, and Pamela; 16 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
