Taylor Painter

Lanse Taylor Painter was born October 21, 1926 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Mabry Health Care in Gainesboro at the age of 93. Taylor was the son of Lindsey G. Painter and Mamie Watson Painter. He was a retired employee of the TN Division of Forestry and a member of the National Forestry Department. Mr. Painter served in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jewel Meadows Painter who passed away on Nov. 26, 2010, son John Landon Painter and sister Bonell Ferguson. Survivors include two grandsons, Johnny (Allison) Painter of Baxter, Jason (Raeann) Painter of Cookeville; three great-grandchildren, Cade Painter, Nate Painter and Aynsley Painter; and Daughter in Law: Mazelle Painter of Whitleyville, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 4-8 pm with funeral services beginning at 11 am on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Bybee officiating. Burial will follow at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
