Funeral services for Mrs. T. Elrod, 98, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, January 4, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M. and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Elrod passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born February 8, 1909, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Thomas and Fannie Ragland. In 1929, she was married to the late Lewis Elrod, who passed away May 15, 1969. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Tom Elrod; 4 Brothers: Charlie, Baugh, Ira, and Willard Ragland; and 2 Sisters: Truda Pate and Carrie Ragland. Survivors include 2 Sisters: Stella Ragland of Gainesboro, TN, and Elizabeth Gipson of Columbia, TN; 2 Grandchildren: James and Donna Elrod and Suzanne Henson, all of Gainesboro, TN; and 7 Great-Grandchildren: Shawn Penley, Kris and Holly Penley, Jamie and Brad Halfacre, Jennifer and Jeremy Rector, Alex Elrod, Megan Henson, and William Pippin.
