Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Savage Terry, 87, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. and on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born November 16, 1925 in Jackson County, TN; to the late Brownlow and Ada Hutchinson Savage. On August 7, 1944, she was married to the late Arvil C. Terry, who passed away on December 2, 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jeff Arvil Terry; 1 Daughter: Debbie Terry; 3 Brothers and 1 Sister. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jack (Gayle) Terry and Terry (Tracy) Terry, both of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Margarette (Joseph) Girgenti of Marble Falls, TX; Arlene (Jim) Maynard of Gainesboro, TN; and Paula (Ken) Turner of Sellersburg, IN; 9 Grandchildren: Cindy Hornsby, Gretta Leckbee, Hayley Turner, Tanna Terry, Tisha Terry, Chase Turner, Nick Girgenti, Jeff Girgenti and Justin Maynard; 6 Great Grandchildren: McKenzie and Savanna Hornsby, Austin Poteet, Chaz and Joey Leckbee, and Lexie Girgenti; 3 Step-Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Wavie Savage of Carthage, TN; and 5 Sisters: Jean Pruett of Carthage, TN; Wilma Presnal of Gainesboro, TN; Nola Kerr of Lebanon, TN; Robbie North of Carthage, TN; and Dolly Western of Michigan.
