Graveside services for Mrs. Sylvia Carnahan Bailey, 96, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9: 30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. Mrs. Bailey passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born February 8, 1913, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Ellis and Elizabeth Sutton Carnahan. On August 20, 1933, she was married to the late Frank Bailey, who passed away February 4, 1996. She was a housewife and a member of the Lafayette Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters and 1 Brother. Survivors include 2 Sons: Billy Joe Bailey of Cookeville, TN, and Edward Doug Bailey of White House, TN; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
