Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Ellis York, 94, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born September 20, 1919, in Jackson County, TN, to the late B. Frank Ellis and Maggie McCormick Ellis. She was married to the late Hiram York. She was a nurse at Jackson County Hospital, and a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Charles H. York; 1 Brother: Ben Ellis; and 2 Sisters: Edna Mai Ellis Massey and an infant sister. Survivors include 1 Son: Troy D. York of Gainesboro TN; 3 Grandchildren: Chad (Denise) York of Cookeville, TN, Christy York Wu and husband, Ming Wu, of Brentwood, TN, and T. David York, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Cookeville, TN; 4 Great Grandchildren: Madison Rae York, Aaron Wu, Allison Wu, and Lauren York; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Mazell Ellis of Lafayette, TN. Bro.
