Memorial services for Mrs. Susan Marie Smith, 73, of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M., and from 6 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1943, in Roslyn, NY, to the late Elmer Carpenter and Lucy Casey Carpenter. On April 18, 1961, she was married to the late Richard "Donnie" Smith, who passed away October 29, 2013. She was a nurse. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Brud, Gene, and Bobbie. Survivors include 3 Sons: Monty (Rosie) Smith of Gainesboro, TN, Mitchell Smith of Baxter, TN, and Mark (Kim) Smith of Algood, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Krystal, Monty, Jr., Carol, Mark, Jr., Brandon, Ryan, and Meagan; 2 Great Grandchildren: Abrielle and Cameryn; and 1 Sister: Pat Myers of Ames, Iowa.
