Sue Swann Chaffin

Sue Swann Chaffin of Baxter was born May 19, 1934 in Jackson County, TN and passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at CRMC at the age of 88. Sue was the oldest of six children born to Arlin and Thelma Murphy Swann. She was a long-time member of the Bussell Church of Christ in Putnam County. She loved the Lord and her family.

Sue was married to Davis A. Chaffin from 1957 until his passing in 2002. She is survived by a son, Jeff Chaffin of Baxter, a daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Glenn Binkley of Baxter, a grandson Ross Binkley of Cookeville, a granddaughter Chelsea  and Aaron England of Lebanon, a great granddaughter Tenley Ann, a sister Judy Chaffin of Cookeville, a brother, Jerry Swann of Whitleyville and a brother Phillip Swann of Cookeville, two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by two brothers James Swann and Glen Swann.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 6 at noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home; 2131 S. Grundy Quarles Hwy.; Gainesboro, TN. The funeral will be at 2:00p.m. Burial will follow immediately at John L. Clark Cemetery.
