Sue Pippin

Thelma Sue Pippin was born November 12, 1939 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at her residence at the age of 84.

She was the daughter of Herman Davis Fox and Olar V. Birdwell Fox.  She was a homemaker especially know for her pies.  She was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ.  On December 19, 1959 she married Charles Leonard Pippin who passed away January 6, 2021.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Leonard Pippin and sister, Judy Jones.

Survived by her son, Alan (Tanda) Pippin of Bloomington Springs; daughter, Sherrie Pippin (Brad) Loftis; brother, Raymond (Bonnie) Fox of Cookeville, sister, Ruby (Roger) Anderson of Gainesboro, Roslyn (Adriel) Stout of Cookeville, Audrey (Kenneth) Anderson of Gainesboro, Rosie (Jerell) Killian of Cookeville; brother-in-law, Ray Jones of Cookeville; sister-in-laws, Diane (Dennis) Fox and Joyce Pippin both of Bloomington Springs and Raymond (Gail) Pippin of Algood; aunt, Rebecca (Vernon) Vinson of Cookeville and uncle, Ermon C. Birdwell of Cookeville; grandchildren, Emily (Barry) Sneed, Westley (Samantha) Osborne, Sarah (Eddie ) Morrow, Andrew (Kendall) Pippin, Alana (Jared Bo) Davis; great grandchildren, Vincent, Cason, Ean, Skylar, Novalee, Knox, Charles Boone, Sutton Jmaes and future baby Pippin.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 2-8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home and Wednesday 10 am to 1pm at Union Hill Church of Christ.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Union Hill Church of Christ with Bro. Mike Fox and Bro. Kenneth Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Hill Flatt Cemetery with Bro. Steve Bowman officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Westley Osborne. Andrew Pippin, Barry Sneed, Eddie Morrow, Jared Bo Davis, Terry Pippin and Dennis Fox.  Honorary pallbearers will be Vincent, Cason, Ean, Knox, Charles Boone and men of Union Hill Church of Christ.

Memorial donations may be made to the Union Hill Flatt Cemetery or Union Hill Community Center by contacting the funeral home.
