Sue Jones

Funeral services for Sue Jones, 88, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at her residence. She was born January 28, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Clyde Anderson and Grace West Anderson Spurlock. She was married to the late Jimmy Jones, who passed away May 26, 2017. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1956 with a business degree. She was the director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) for 30 years, and was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Step Father: Jim Ray Spurlock; Brother: Donny Spurlock; Sister: Margaret Pruett; and Favorite Pet: Roxie. Survivors include many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
