Funeral services for Miss Stella Ragland, 96, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M until time of services. Miss Ragland passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born December 8, 1911, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Fannie Hopkins Ragland. She was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Charlie, Baugh, Ira, and Willard Ragland; and 3 Sisters: Truda Pate, Carrie Ragland, and Delia T. Elrod. Survivors include 1 Sister: Elizabeth Gipson of Columbia, TN; and a Special Nephew: James Elrod of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. E.C.
