Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Merlene Hall, 91, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016, at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta, TN. She was born February 6, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Willie Wiley and Mamie Spivey Wiley. On July 2, 1942, she was married to the late Sam L. Hall, who passed away September 3, 2010. She was a homemaker, and a defense worker in her early years. She was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Kenneth Wayne Hall; 4 Brothers: Odus Wiley, Junior Wiley, Earl Wiley, and Thurell Wiley; and 2 Sisters: Betty Wiley and Georgia Wiley. Survivors include 1 Son: Sammie (Peggy) Hall of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Brenda Hall of Cookeville, TN; 1 Grandson: Jeff (Tressa) Hall of Cookeville, TN; 2 Granddaughters: Samantha (Stanley) Anderson of Cookeville, TN, and Kelly (Kenny) Anderson of Murfreesboro, TN; 9 Great Grandchildren: Jamie Hall, Lora (John) Whaley, Kristina Hall, Jared Anderson, Ann Marie Anderson, Sammy Anderson, Kendelyn Chilton, Kelsey Secord, and Kennedy Selby; 2 Brothers: Berl Domer Wiley and friend, Betty of McMinnville, TN, and Omer (Ann) Wiley of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Special Niece: Starlene (James) West of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friends: Jackie and Amy Carmack of Gainesboro, TN.
