Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Mae Hammock Rhoten, 85, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born March 4, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Abner Stafford and Gertie Stafford. She was married to the late Billy Ray Rhoten. She was a factory worker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Sons: Bennie Clay Hammock, Michael Hammock, and Donnie Hammock; 1 Grandson: Shane Hammock; 2 Brothers: Doyle Pete Stafford and Donald Stafford; and 1 Sister: Ocie Stafford. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jackie Hammock of Hilham, TN, and Jimmy Hammock of Chattanooga, TN; 3 Daughters: Jenny (Charles) Scott, Kathy Jo Phann, and Deborah Helen (Junior) Phann, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Helen Pritchett of Gainesboro, TN; 20 Grandchildren; and several Great Grandchildren.
