Stanley C. Palk

Funeral services for Mr. Stanley C. Palk, 89, of Hernando, Mississippi and formerly of Troy, Ohio, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Double Springs Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his daughter' s residence in Hernando, Mississippi. He was born October 18, 1924 in Putnam County, TN, to the late Charlie and Myrtle Dyer Palk. He was married to the late Rozene Fox Palk. He graduated from Central High School in Cookeville, TN in 1943. He was a member of the church of Christ and served as an Elder. He was a purchasing agent for General Motors Delco Marine Division and retired in 1980. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Joe Palk and Hero Palk; 1 Sister: Christine Franklin and infant brothers and sisters. Survivors include 1 Son: David (Joyce) Palk of Alba, Texas; 1 Daughter: Cathy (Larry) Davis of Hernando, Mississippi; 1 Sister: Reba Palk of Cookeville, TN; 7 Grandchildren and 22 Great-grandchildren.
