Sindia Moss Scantland

Funeral services for Sindia Mae Moss Scantland, 89, of the Pleasant Hill community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, January 16, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at her residence. She was born July 22, 1922, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Robert L. Moss and Eliza A. Moss. On December 22, 1938, she was married to the late Harvey Oplis Scantland, who passed away in August of 1993. She was a housewife, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Committee. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Ronnie Joe Scantland; 4 Infant Sons; and 1 Infant Sister. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Beneta D. (Jackie) Williams of Monroe, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Bryan Lee Coburn, Leslie Ann Coburn, Jennifer Jo Scantland, and Samantha Lee Scantland; and 1 Sister: Martha Spivey of Gainesboro, TN. Bro.
