Silas "Gene" Barlow

Funeral services for Mr. Silas Eugene "Gene" Barlow, 79, of the Old Antioch community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, December 28, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. - 7 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born March 3, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dallas and Martha Buck Barlow. On April 19, 1948, he was married to Bessie L. Barlow, who survives. He was an inspector for General Motors at Delco Moraine in Dayton, OH. He attended the Sugar Creek Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Glenda Barlow; 1 Grandson: Maxwell Barlow; and 1 Brother: Earl Barlow. Survivors include his Wife: Bessie L. Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Jerry R. Barlow of Cincinnati, OH, and Danny L. Barlow of Tipp City, OH; 4 Grandchildren: Sydni Barlow, Quinci Barlow, Ashley Barlow, and Colton Barlow; and 1 Brother: James F. Barlow of Gainesboro, TN. Bro.
