Shirley Odell Barlow

Funeral services for Mr. Shirley Odell Barlow, 67, of the Burristown community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, May 14, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 - 9 P.M. and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Barlow passed away on Friday, May 12, 2006, at his residence in the Burristown community. He was born August 27, 1938, in Jackson County to the late Robert "Rob" Barlow & Rose Carlile Barlow. On December 27, 1958, he was married to Barbara Fay Barlow, who survives. Mr. Barlow was retired from Fleetguard and a part-time employee of the Jackson County Highway Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Malcolm Barlow; and 1 Grandson: Kyle Sisco. Survivors include his wife: Barbara Fay Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-Law: Jimmy & Debbie Barlow of Hilham, TN, and Joe David Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters and 2 Sons-in-Law: Joan & William Sisco of Gainesboro, TN, and Joy & Willie Fiolek of Hilham, TN; 3 Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Cecil & Betty Barlow of Rickman, TN, Sheldon & Barbara "Bobbie" Barlow of Livingston, TN, and Billy & Cora Barlow of Plant City, Florida; and a Special Aunt: Anna Carlile Scantland of Cookeville, TN. 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Dr. Doug Dycus will officiate at the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson County Football Program by contacting Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
