Graveside services for Shirley Ann Mitchell, 68, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon - 1:30 P.M. She passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born October 31, 1950, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Fred Sisco and Nannie Byrd Lee Sisco. She was married to the late Michael Thomas Mitchell. She worked as a clinical psychologist. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandchild: Kaitlyn Mitchell; and 1 Sister: Dorothy Sisco. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Elizabeth Mitchell and Samantha Mitchell, both of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Nichole Mitchell and Brandon Bates; 1 Brother: Hugh Sisco of Michigan; and 2 Sisters: Geraldine Craighead of Whitleyville, TN, and Pauline Russell of Ohio. Bro. Matthew Stafford will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
