Sherman Loftis

Sherman Dwayne Loftis was born September 10, 1962 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 61.

Sherman was the son of Billy Joe Loftis and Anna Mae Birdwell Loftis.  He was a foreman for the Jackson County Solid Waste department and attended the Church of Christ.  He was a resident of the Union Hill Community.  Sherman was a hard worker during his lifetime and loved to farm beginning at a very young age.

He was preceded in death by his wife DeAnna Lynn Loftis who passed away on October 14, 2015.

Survivors include his son, Justin (Candace Smith) Loftis of Bloomington Springs; daughter, Ashley (Austin) Centeno of Elmwood; brother, Michael Loftis of Bloomington Springs; parents, Billy Joe and Anna Mae Loftis of Bloomington Springs; grandson, Bo Centeno of Elmwood; nephews, Austin and Ben Loftis and niece, LeAnn Loftis.  Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 19, 2024, 4-8 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024 with Bro. Stan Gantt officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Hill Flatt Cemetery.
