Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Pearl Hooten, 87, of Sparta, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at her residence in Sparta, TN. She was born November 8, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Oakley Gene Horner and Minnie Jewel Stockton Horner. She was married to the late Joe Arkley Hooten. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: James C. Gilreath; 3 Grandchildren and 2 Brothers. Survivors include 1 Son: Charles Gilreath of Michigan; 2 Daughters: Pamela Parrish of Michigan and Sandra Gilreath of Sparta, TN; 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Rev.
