Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Lorene York "Bear" Stafford, 34, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, October 26, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 P.M. to 9 P.M., and on Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born November 30, 1980, in Tompkinsville, KY, to Garry York and Evie York. On July 30, 2005, she was married to Jacob W. Stafford, who survives. She was a cashier at Save-A-Lot in Gainesboro, TN, and a member of the Beech Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents: Jewell York and Etta Atkins; and her Maternal Grandparents: Matt and Virgie Colter. Survivors include her Husband: Jacob W. Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; her Parents: Garry and Evie York of Red Boiling Springs, TN; her Father and Mother-in-Law: Donnie and Shira Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Billy (Amber) York of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 2 Sisters: Ann (David) Lancaster of Gainesboro, TN, and Betty Lynn (Marcos) Martinez of Red Boiling Springs, TN; her Pa: Sam Atkins of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Special Aunt: Becky Hix of Lafayette, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Tim White will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
