Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Gaw Lynn, 90, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:30 A. M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born November 28, 1923, in Long Beach, California, to the late C.C. Gaw and Pearl Gaw. She was married to the late Sam Harley Lynn. She was a professor at TTU, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Sandra Joyce Lynn; and 4 Brothers: Jack Stanton Gaw, Sr., Charles Roy Gaw, Lloyd Edward Gaw, Sr., and Dr. J.C. Gaw. Survivors include 3 Brothers: Doyle Gaw of Brentwood, TN, Dr. David Gaw of Nashville, TN, and Dr. W.R. "Bill" Gaw of Nashville, TN; and 1 Sister: Betty Wisdom of Barberton, OH.
