Sandra Carolyne Poteet

Sandra Carolyne Poteet was born March 19, 1942, in Gainesboro, TN and she passed from this life on Friday, April 26, 2024, at The Waters of Gainesboro in Gainesboro, TN. She was 82 years old.

She was the daughter of Averette Dudney and Mary Shepherd. She loved spending time with her family, antiquing, and looking for deals at yard sales and Goodwill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sammie Roe Poteet, daughter Shelia Bowman Collins, brother Joe Dudney, sister Barbara Dudney, and brother-in-law Bobby Vanhooser.

Survivors include her daughter: Connie Bowman (Glynn) Warden of Gainesboro, TN; Son-in-law: Jeff Collins of Gainesboro, TN; brother: Jimmie (Carol) Dudney of Gainesboro, TN; sister: Jan (David) Shaw of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren: Kasey (Joe) Grounds, Kayla (Chris) Cantrell, Caroline (Dalton) Fish, and Claudia (Evan) Smith; great grandchildren: Kennedy, Delia, Case, and Violet.

The family has chosen cremation, with a private memorial service to be held on a later date.
