Sally Harris

Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Harris, 73, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at her residence. She was born December 1, 1940 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Gordon and Della Porterfield. On June 16, 1964, she was married to James Howard Harris, who passed away on August 25, 2011. She was a babysitter, and a member of the Dudney's Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: J.C. Porterfield and Billy Porterfield. Survivors include 1 Son: Paul (Amanda) Harris of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Linda (John) Hix of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Rachel, Rebecca, and James Wayne Harris, and Emily Hix ; 2 Sisters-in-law: Jean (Harlen) Haney of Cookeville, TN and Jane Porterfield of Pleasant Shade, TN.
