Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Spivey Carmack, 95, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, April 10, 2020, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Pleasant Hill community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at her residence She was born April 8, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Bedford Phillips and Nannie Mercer Phillips. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Winton Spivey; her Husband: Eugene Carmack; 7 Brothers; 2 Sisters; 2 Sons: Harold Spivey and Lonnie Spivey; 1 Daughter: Jo Ann Heady; 1 Grandson: Steve Heady; and 1 Granddaughter: Amy Russell. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Betty McKee of Sparta, TN; 17 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; her Step Daughter and Caregiver: Wanda Spivey; and Step Son: Jackie Carmack. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
