Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Keith Washburn of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services. Mrs. Washburn passed away on Monday, October 8, 2007, at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. She was born February 6, 1916, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jay G. and Stella Jenkins Keith. She was married to the late Donald Roberts Washburn. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Connie Washburn; 6 Sisters: Ethel Clark, Bonnie Keith, Edith Brockett, Maxie Ackerman, Jo Turner, and Beth Keith and 1 Brother: Kit Keith. Survivors include 1 Son: Jim (Shirley) Washburn of Cookeville, TN. 2 Daughters: Margaret (Jerry) Swann of Whitleyville TN and Jo Ella Washburn of Louisville, TN ; 3 Grandchildren: Luanna Washburn, Kerry Willis, and Kendall Leeann Washburn; 1 Great-Grandson: Jackson Christopher Willis; and 1 Sister: Sybil Brigance of San Antonio, TX.
