Graveside services for Mr. Russell Smith, 57, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Smyrna Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. He passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at his residence. He was born April 12, 1960, in Putnam County, TN, to the late Demas and Frances Smith. He was a construction worker. Survivors include 1 Son: Matthew (Heather) Smith of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Tylar Smith of Cherokee, NC; 3 Grandchildren: Zackary Smith, Zoe Smith, and Zadie Smith; 2 Brothers: Michael Demas Smith of Tucson, AZ, and David Smith of McMinnville, TN; 2 Sisters: Linda Hammock of Cookeville, TN, and Diana Fields of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friend: Sharron Smith of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
