Russell Allen Cox, Sr.

Russell Allen Cox, Sr. was born May 30, 1968, in Celina, TN, and he passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, at the age of 55.

He was the son of the late Haskell Cox and Neldean Boles, and worked in farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Estel “Hubby” Cox; and Sister: Vivian Cox.

Survivors include his Companion: Christal Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; Sons: Russell Allen Cox, Jr. of Hilham, TN, Colby Goolsby and Mason Cox, both of Gainesboro, TN; Daughters: Keisha Hooten and Chelsey Cox, both of Gainesboro, TN; Sisters: Wanda Astereo of Hawaii and Naydean Reeder of Hilham, TN; and Grandchildren: Hunter, Danica, Sawyer, Sadie, and Emma.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Turkeytown Cemetery in Hilham, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
