Graveside services for Ruby Rose Carter, 98, of the Keeling Branch community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11 A.M. at the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. She passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 25, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Amos Spurlock and Sally Yates Spurlock. She was married to the late Albert Carter. She was a seamstress, and a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: James David Carter; and 1 Grandchild: Shannon Wayne Carter. Survivors include 1 Son: Tim (Sherry) Carter of Whitleyville, TN; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Ida Mae Carter of Whitleyville, TN; 1 Sister: Vivian Lankford of Nashville, TN; Grandchildren: Tammy (John) Gabbard, Jimmy Carter, and Kecia (Eric) Bartholomew; and Great Grandchildren: Lily and Luke Bartholomew. Bro. Tom Bilbrey will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Whitleyville Church of Christ by contacting the funeral home.
