Ruby Lois Fox Anderson was born December 27, 1943 in Jackson County, TN. She passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at her home in Jackson County surrounded by loved ones.
Ruby was the wife of Roger Anderson. They were married on August 24, 1963 for at total of 61 years of marriage. She was the daughter of Herman Davis Fox and Olar V. Birdwell Fox.
Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sue Pippin and Judy Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Anderson of Gainesboro, daughters, Tammie (Tim) Brown of Gainesboro, Donna (Brian) Hall of Lancaster, KY and John (Shanna) Anderson of Gainesboro; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Hannah (Dan) Kistler, Timothy, Josiah and David, Lucas (Katie) Brown, Maggie and Cora, Bethany (Sam) Wolfe, Judah, Asher and Eden, Benjamin (Dawn) Brown, Gideon and Israel, Caleb (Anna) Hall, Titus (Brettianee) Anderson, Silas, Mathis and Jonas, Isaac (Olivia) Hall, Elias and Ruby, Elijah Anderson, Norah (Jon) Ledbetter, Vanna Kate and Mercy, Rebecca Brown, Noah Brown, Levi Anderson and Naomi Brown; Siblings, Raymond (Bonnie) Fox, Roslyn (Adriel) Stout, Audrey (Kenneth) Anderson and Rosie (Jerrell) Killian. Other survivors include special in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Ruby was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at Center Grove. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.
She was a first and foremost a home-maker. Her creative talents could be seen in everything she touched. A common quote from her grandchildren..."Nobody makes gravy like Mema!". Her skills beyond cooking included sewing, quilting, crocheting, drawing, poetry and gardening.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 4-8 pm and Wednesday 10 am to 11 am at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11 am in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Anderson and Bro. Mike Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Rash Cemetery.
