Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Bell Stafford, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 12, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Stafford passed away on Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 26, 1922, in Jackson County to the late Will Benton Smith & Icy Hicks Smith. In 1942, she was married to the late James A. Stafford, who passed away December 24, 1971. Mrs. Stafford was a homemaker and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Great-Grandchild: Shannon Wayne Carter. Survivors include 3 Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Nell Jean & Edward Sieber of Cookeville, TN, Sue & James Johnson and Peggy & Paul Ward, all of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Alecia Steward, Tammy Wheeler, Jason (Pam) Wheeler, Randy Johnson, Sandy Asbel, Michael Davis, and Shelia (Daryl) Roberts; and 6 Great-Grandchildren: Jacob Davis, D.J. Roberts, Evan Roberts, Madison Wheeler, Kecia Carter, and Jesse Wheeler. Bro. Wayne Wells and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
