Roy Douglas Pippin was born May 20, 1952 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 72.
Roy was the son of Tom C. Pippin and Dimple V. Allen Pippin. He attended Shiloh Church of Christ and was a longtime employee of Nielsen and Bainbridge Corp. in Gainesboro. Roy loved to hunt, fish and gamble.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vickie Allen Pippin who passed away February 17, 2018; sisters, Linda Pippin Wade and Judy Nell Pippin; half-brothers, Johnny Pippin and Henry Pippin.
Survivors include son, Michael (Tammie) Pippin of Baxter, TN; Daughters Cristal (Jimmy) Cronk and Lisa Pippin both of Cookeville; Grandchildren: Colton (Lilly Davidson) Pippin, Devon (Megan Cronk) Rodgers, and Madison Pippin; brother, Dewey (Nancy) C. Pippin of Cookeville. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 3, 2025, 10 am to 1 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Monday, February 3, 2025 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Lakelan Barham officiating. Burial will follow in John Young Cemetery.
