Funeral services for Mr. Roy Lee Hix, 78, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born April 25, 1941, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Willard Hix and Jewell Jenkins Hix. On December 24, 1969, he was married to Betty Ruth Hix, who survives. He worked as the manager of the Jackson County Co-Op for 18 years. He was a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Jack Hix, Sr. and Joe Hix; and a Special Niece: Jo Helen Wright. Survivors include his Wife: Betty Ruth Hix of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters in Law: Mary Helen Wright of Cookeville, TN, and Judy Hix of Hendersonville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Chris Ramsey and Bro. Dan Huffines will officiate at the services.
