Rose Meadows Fuqua

Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Meadows Fuqua, 96, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. Mrs. Fuqua passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009, at Life Care Center of Sparta, TN. She was born March 17, 1913, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John Walker Meadows and Ida McCoin Meadows. She was married to the late Tommy Edward Fuqua, who passed away November 16, 1975. She was a beautician and co- owner of Flowers by Ruby and Rose. She was a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Joe Meadows; 1 Sister: Pearl Meadows Clark; and 1 Son: Eddie Fuqua. Survivors include 1 Daughter-in-law: Faye Fuqua of Smithville, TN; 1 Sister: Ruby Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Nieces and Nephews: John Meadows, Louise Binder, Ann Bray, Sue Jones, Patty Walker, and Ward Fuqua; Special Friends: Jann & Sandy Cupp, Polly Montgomery, Louise Dudney, and Carolyn Poteet; and her Loving Caretakers: Phyllis, Barbara, Lois, and Bonnie.
