Rosa L. Hicks

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa "Rosie" L. Hicks, 91, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, December 5, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. - 7 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Hicks passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born December 21, 1916, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Ciscro and Mary Frances Spivey. She was married to the late Woodrow Hicks. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Whitleyville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandson: Ronnie "Moose" Hicks, Jr.; and 1 Great-Grandson: Cecil Eugene Wryals, Jr. Survivors include 1 Son: Ronnie and Corine Hicks of Whitleyville, TN; 2 Daughters: Georgia L. Wryals of Immokalee, FL, and Linda J. Taylor of Felda, FL; 12 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; and 18 Great- Great-Grandchildren. Bro. James Wryals and Bro.
