Funeral services for Mr. Roger D. Loftis, 72, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born April 7, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harvey and Icie Loftis. On April 18, 1962, he was married to Jean Loftis, who survives. He was the owner of Lakeside Termite and Pest Control and was a member of the Church of Christ at Freewill. In addition to his Parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 Son: Harvey Larmon Loftis; 3 Brothers: U.L., Clyde, and Albert Ray Loftis; and 3 Sisters: Vio Swope, Daffo Hambright, and Sue Loftis. Survivors include his Wife: Jean Loftis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna Loftis-Young of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Dustin Loftis and Kelsey Young, both of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Great-Grandson: Ayden Loftis; 1 Brother: Ronnie Loftis of Cookeville, TN; 3 Sisters: Dora Gentry of Cookeville, TN; Maymie Allen of Bloomington Springs, TN; and Cogie Hensley of Gainesboro, TN. Many other family and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services.
