Funeral services for Roger D. Harris, 64, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:30 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at his brother's residence. He was born August 9, 1954, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jessie Lee Harris and Clio Cynthia Harris. He worked in logging and sawmills, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Companion: Margie Mullins; and 1 Sister: Dimple Hawkins. Survivors include 1 Son: Roger Dale Harris, Jr. of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Amanda Kay Harris of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Brayden King and Jayden King; 3 Brothers: Bill Harris of Gainesboro, TN, Willie Harris of Voss, TX, and Roy Lee Harris and wife, Rhonda Lynn Harris of Gainesboro, TN; and 4 Sisters: Frances Johnson of Silver Point, TN, Margaret (Troy) Dockery of Cookeville, TN, Vickie (Doug) Maynard of Carthage, TN, and Cynthia Ogletree of Sparta, TN.
