Mr. Rodney D. Ashburn, 38, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at his residence. The family has chosen cremation, and will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. He was born November 12, 1971, in Knox County, TN, to Albert Wayne Ashburn and Geneleta Ashburn. On April 14, 2007, he was married to Diane Ashburn, who survives. He was a roofer, a member of the Jackson County Quarterback Club, and attended New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather: Albert Ashburn; and his Maternal Grandparents: Hester and Stella Gentry Survivors include his Wife: Diane Ashburn of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Austin Ashburn of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Caitlin Lewis and Abigail Ashburn of Gainesboro, TN; his Parents: Albert Wayne (Sharon) Ashburn of Baxter, TN; and Geneleta Ashburn of Cookeville, TN; his Paternal Grandmother: Lorene Ashburn of Baxter, TN; 1 Step-son: Robert (Kim Brown) Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Michelle (Steven) Cook of the Wartrace community of Jackson Co., TN; 1 Step-Grandson: Ethan Cook; 1 Brother: Scott Ashburn of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson Co., TN; 1 Sister: Regina Stout of Cookeville, TN; and his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Robert and Juanita West of Gainesboro, TN.
