Robert W. Boyd

Funeral services for Mr. Robert W. Boyd, 80, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at New Hope Baptist Church in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. On Sunday, the body will lie in state at New Hope Baptist Church from 1 P.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at his residence. He was born August 8, 1930, in Covington, GA, to the late Ernest G. Boyd and Pauline Warren Boyd. On August 1, 1993, he was married to Jo Ann T. Boyd, who survives. He was a truck driver and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Geraldine Poe Boyd; and 1 Sister: Betty Shields. Survivors include his Wife: Jo Ann T. Boyd of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Sons: Robert W. Boyd, Jr. of Butler, PA, Ronald L. Boyd of Dalton, GA, David D. Dees of Moncks Corner, SC, and Robert E. Dees of Atlanta, GA; 1 Daughter: Kimberly A.
