Funeral services for Robert Taylor Collier 60, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Collier Family Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at his sister's residence. He was born September 28, 1953, in Sumner County, TN, to the late Donald C. Collier and Lura N. Huff Collier. He worked in construction, and was a member of the church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jackie Lee Collier; Paternal Grandparents: Buddy H. and Clara Burton Collier; and Maternal Grandparents: Harvey Haskell Huff and Vennie Frizzell Huff. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Charles (Ann) Collier of Gainesboro, TN and Bill (Nancy) Collier of Baxter, TN; 1 Sister: Penny (Danny) Locke of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Nephews: Danny Locke and Donnie Locke; and 4 Nieces: Casie Harris, Amy Collier, Taylor Collier, and Shawana Bartlett. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Collier Family to help with expenses by contacting the funeral home.
