Robert Roy Casteel

Funeral services for Robert Roy Casteel, 56, of the Harmony community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Casteel passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born October 28, 1949, in Gainesboro to Kate Brown Casteel and the late James Robert Casteel. On April 27, 1998, he was married to Martha Ruth Casteel, who survives. Mr. Casteel was a carpenter. He was a member of the Church of Christ since October of 1968 at various congregations. He was preceded in death by his father: James Robert Casteel, a World War II veteran and retired employee of Twin Lakes Telephone Co. Survivors include his wife: Martha Ruth Casteel of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Mary Elizabeth Allen and Scott Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandsons: Austin Gregory Allen and Phillip Nathaniel Allen; 1 Step-Son: Brian Smith of Carthage, TN; 1 Step-Grandson: Jordan Smith of Minnesota; his mother: Kate Casteel of Gainesboro, TN; the mother of his daughter: Mary Sue Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Sandra Kairon Phann and Peggy Lou Smith, both of Gainesboro, TN.
