Funeral services for Mr. Robert Lee Johnson, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at his residence. He was born October 4, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Oliver Lee Johnson and Olga Simpson Johnson. On April 30, 1946, he was married to the late Faye Johnson, who passed away September 6, 2010. He was an attorney and former General Sessions Judge in Jackson County. He was a former State Representative, and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son-in-Law: Dewayne Chaffin; and 1 Granddaughter: Toni Lee Chaffin. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Nancy Johnson Chaffin of Gainesboro, TN, and Melinda Johnson Doty of Nashville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Luke Chaffin and his wife, Melanie; Joanna Williams and her husband, Lloyd; Nicholas Doty and Eric Doty and their father, Allen Doty; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Anna Claire Williams, Robert Parker Chaffin, and Lloyd Franklin Williams; 2 Brothers: Dr. Jack Johnson and his wife, Chris, of Cookeville, TN, and Ted Johnson of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Cathy Draper of Knoxville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Wells and Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
