Robert Lee Harris

Graveside services for Mr. Robert Lee Harris, 86, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Granville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until time to leave for the service. He passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born April 26, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Earlie and Frances Mayberry Harris. On August 4, 1951, he was married to Dorothy Crabtree Harris, who survives. He was a farmer and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Carl, Floyd B. Sr., and Ray Harris; 3 Sisters: Pearl, Clara and Nell Harris; 1 Nephew: Junior Harris; and 1 Great Niece: Billie Monroe. Survivors include his Wife: Dorothy Crabtree Harris of Granville, TN; 3 Nieces: Gayle Lester of Cookeville, TN, Shirley (Jake) Peeler of Gallatin, TN, and Denise (Chad) York of Cookeville, TN; 3 Great Nieces: Elizabeth Ann Peeler, Madison York, and Olivia Monroe; and 2 Sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Leo) Halfacre of Hermitage, TN, and Mildred Harris of Cookeville, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Crabtree will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Granville Cemetery Fund or the Granville Senior Citizens Center by contacting the funeral home.
