Robert H. Pharris

Robert H. Pharris better known as Bob Pharris was born December 6, 1950 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence in Gainesboro at the age of 71. Bob was the son of Joe R. and Virginia Pruett Pharris. He retired from the US Postal Service after 39.5 years and was a member of the Sycamore Church of Christ and served on the Jackson County Emergency Communications Board (911). He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. On December 25, 1971 he married Judith Ann West for 50 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in law Helen Heffner. Survivors include his wife, Judy Pharris of Gainesboro; daughter, Alison (Jimmy) Kitchen of Portland, TN; sister, Suzanne (Garvis) York of Lebanon; granddaughter, Macey Brooke Conaster of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Juanita (Darry) Ferguson of Colorado; niece, Susan and husband Todd of Nashville, nephew: Alan (Meredith) Heffner of Charlotte NC and great nephews: Alex and Drew Heffner of Charlotte NC; Other relatives and many friends along with kitties, Ben, Jerry and Mona. Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2022 4 to 8 pm at Sycamore Church of Christ located at 1144 Crescent Dr, Cookeville, TN and on Tuesday 11 am to 3 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Steve Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.
