Robert C. Haney

Funeral services for Mr. Robert C. Haney, 80, of Cottontown, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon - 9 P. M., and on Sunday from 11:30 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Highland Manor Nursing Home in Portland, TN. He was born April 2, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John and Bessie Stewart Haney. He was married to the late Roberta Gray Haney, who passed away in December, 1994. He operated Haney's Wrecker Service, and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Ricky Alan Haney; 1 Daughter: Angela Haney; 2 Brothers: James Willard Haney and Ewin Haney; and 1 Sister: Maydell Loftis. Survivors include 1 Brother: Raymond (Louise) Haney of Gainesboro, TN; and his Special Friend and Caregiver: Ruby Upchurch of Cottontown, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Farlin Flatt and Bro. O.L. Ransom, Jr. will officiate at the services.
