Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Lee Tinsley, 65, of Smithville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Tinsley Cemetery in Clay County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born May 4, 1949, in Clay County, TN, to the late Outher Lee Tinsley and Ernestine Tinsley. He was a factory worker at Dacco, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Grandson: Elijah Lee Tinsley. Survivors include 1 Son: Matthew Lee Tinsley of Sparta, TN; 2 Daughters: Bridgett Sink of Smithville, TN, and Melissa Knowles of Smithville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Brandon Lee Dillon, Keri Sanders, Maggie Knowles, and Parker Knowles; 1 Brother: Bobby Dale Tinsley of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Brenda Faye Cowan of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Linda Kaye Holt of South Carolina; and 3 Great Grandchildren. Bro. Les Ditto will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
