Funeral services for Ricky Eugene Spivey, 48, of Rock Island, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at his residence. He was born December 30, 1964, in Hamtramck, MI, to Jerry E. Spivey and Sue Spivey. He was a tool and die machinist, and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Malcolm and Nannie B. Jones Spivey; and his Maternal Grandparents: Jim and Clara Henley Ramsey. Survivors include 1 Son: Cody Ryan Spivey of Manchester, TN; 1 Daughter: Tabitha Brook Spivey of Hillsboro, TN; 1 Grandson: Gage Korbin Spivey; and his Parents: Jerry E. Spivey and Sue Spivey of Rock Island, TN. Several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
