Ricky E. Strong

Funeral services for Ricky E. Strong, 60, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Grover Rich Cemetery in Clay County, TN. A Masonic service will be held on Friday at 7 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Signature Health Care in Algood, TN. He was born October 30, 1960, in Clay County, TN, to the late James “Pugg” Strong and Martha Ann Rich Strong. He was a retired carpenter, and a member of Tannehill Lodge #133 - Eastern Star #503. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, and served as a board member of Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative for 14 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Natalie Strong; and 1 Sister: Fredia King. Survivors include 1 Son: Brock Dillan (Marlanna) Strong of Tampa, FL; 2 Daughters: Atha Amanda (Kevin) Stinson of Hermitage, TN, and Olivia Ann (Russell) Farley of Cookeville, TN; 2 Brothers: Donald (Patsy) Strong of Celina, TN, and Ronald (Cindy) Strong of Baxter, TN; and Grandchildren: Emily Rhayne Stinson, Julia Rose Strong, and Rylee Best. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Matthew Scoggins will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital or the Twin Lakes Telephone Scholarship Fund by contacting the funeral home.
