Memorial services for Mr. Richard E. "Rick" Young, 63, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and formerly of Jackson County, will be held at 4 P.M. on Sunday, September 21 2008, in the chapel of Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Cremains will be interred in the Young Family Cemetery on Sugartown Ridge in Gainesboro immediately following the memorial service. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:30 till the time of services. Mr. Young passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 2, 2008. He was born July 12, 1945, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Bill Clay Young and Bessie Stafford Young Jackson. He worked as a self-employed repairman. He had many friends that loved him. He had a way of making people laugh and was his happiest when helping others. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Sue Young of Oklahoma City, OK; 4 Brothers: Hugh Young of Cookeville, TN; Billy Ray, Ralph, and Kenny Young all of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Dorothy Allen of Cookeville, TN; and Wanda Scoghins of Spring, TX.
