Richie Meadows

Funeral services for Mr. Richie Meadows, 54, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, March 3, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 - 10 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Meadows passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2005, in Macon County, TN. He was born August 19, 1950, in Jackson County to Thelma Spivey Meadows and the late Richmond Meadows. On August 11, 1990, he was married to Debbie Carter Meadows, who survives. Mr. Meadows was the owner of Meadows Enterprises, Inc. of Gainesboro, TN. He was a member of the Flynns Creek Church of Christ, and a former Jackson County commissioner. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Jerry Meadows and Gayle Meadows. Survivors include his wife: Debbie Carter Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Richie Dewayne Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Marsha Dianne Long of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Misty Dawn Rodgers of Gainesboro, TN; His mother: Thelma Spivey Meadows of the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Larry and Bonnie Meadows of the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, TN; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Nancy and Alvin West of Bloomington Springs, TN; and 6 Grandchildren: LaTosha and Nolan Meadows, Brooklyn and Courtney Scott, & Jordan and Dakota Rodgers. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Ronnie Holland, Donny Meadows, Bro. Morgan Medlin, and Bro. Dewayne Chaffin will officiate at the services.
